Here are some free programs that you guys might find useful

-For drawings/illustrations I recommend Painttool SAI, Adobe illustrator, CorelDRAW, Sketchbook Pro.

-For painting, and Photo manipulation which can also be used for drawing, I suggest Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter.
GIMP is free [link]

-Some 3D programs are Autodesk Maya (can get free for 3 years if you're in school), 3D max, Z-brush.
Blender is free [link]

-Animation programs are Adobe flash pro, Toonboom.
Pencil is free [link]
Doink is free and online flash animation [link]

-Music and sound producing programs are Magix, Pro Tools, Audacity (free but very limited) or Reason.
Fl Studio is free for only the demo which isn't a trial but you can't open a file to edit or work on it so you'll have to leave your computer on and make music without saving and export as mp3. [link]

Contest:
I've decided to do the contest since there is a decent amount of people wanting to enter.

So almost  two months ago I saw that had a contest of Xeno's birthday of being a FC for a year. I realized my FC Crome is almost over a year old, however I missed the actual time the FC was created by months. I made the character last October 2010. So he's a few months past the year old mark, but I still want to do a contest for my FC anyway. Xon I'm sure is also almost a year old when the month hits April.
It's been a while since I've done a contest. Last time I checked it was last summer. (Might do one for Xon but after this contest)


Theme would be of course my FC Crome, doing whatever.

Could be with your fc/oc, could be him screaming like a girl, could be him doing his major derp ups, his nerdy scientific stuff, drunk  and could be the crazy psychopath side of him. I don't care, as long as he's in character.
Nothing sexual, racist, romance (Crome isn't attracted to anything, or anyone) and anything offensive.

1st: 400 points, and a full colored drawing of my best
2nd: Llama, and a traditional shaded inked drawing
