Irken Corruption: DeadLock

Here it is! The comic cover for my Fan characters. I had stared at the sketch for 2 days, without motivation to work on it .

This part of their story is after the death of Xon, and when Crome is more right in the head...not that he would ever be right in the head.

Here is the summary:

The psychotic Irken criminal Crome is once again captured. This time however, instead of a normal prison he is sent to a special prison-like facility located on planet Irk. He is fitted with a collar that was meant to explode, and decapitate the wearer. That is if a prisoner were to escape the prison boundaries. Crome is thrown in the same cell of a ferocious Irken hating Vortian of the name Rayne, just for the guards amusement.

However instead the two eventually agree, to escape together. With Rayne reprogramming the collars to explode if they were to walk away from each other, within 20ft of distance instead of being restricted to the facility. They escape into space by tricking the guards, and stealing a ship. Now with guards, and bounty hunters hot in pursuit.

While on the run they travel the dangers of space, and planet to planet. Trying somehow to find a way to remove the collars without triggering the explosive devices, and finally free themselves.

The Collars were first introduced in a 1994 movie called DeadLocked: 2, and reappeared in Ratchet: Deadlocked/Gladiator.
After that I have never seen the Deadlocked collars used again. There was a certain steampunk collar in the movie wild wild west that had a blade home in towards the wearer, and did require a type of co-operation, but after that I don't believe they were mentioned again after Ratchet: Deadlocked.

So now I'm going to use them in my comic.

Pages will be made so much slower than splatter arena. They also should look much better as well.
