Crush by RoboticMasterMind strikes me as lively and slightly vicious; there's clearly some tense feelings by both Crome and the Irken that is about the be crushed.

As some may know only too well, I am very critical about backgrounds; it either can make or break a picture. However, I do think that this background was a very smart touch; the blue matches Crome's dark blue clothing, and it allows the Irken below to stand out. That was a good call. Though one would think that Crome would be one that is also standing out and being a contrast to the monochromatic background, but I think that matching the colors adds to Crome's role in the picture. He's an opposing force adding to the doom raining down on the one below in the dark.

In this way, Crome is not what I think needs the improvement. The Irken below is going through hell; he obviously was either slashed with a sharp object or knocked around. Depending on which, he should appear somewhat dirtier, beaten, or at least roughened up a bit. (Simply because I know Crome well enough to know he isn't just gonna give his victim a little cut on the forehead; it's more likely to be a gash. Did the little guy tumble?)

His shading should be more evident and darker; Crome is directly above him. What I would do is shade the majority of his body and allow whatever Crome is not covering to be lighter, namely the sides, or shade the entire body to allow Crome to appear larger.

Also, I can't shake this off: the blue bits in front of his pink outfit intrude. Those markings are better suited for the background only. It's the color disagreement; The Irken is in warm colors and the background is cold. He doesn't look too well sandwiched in between the background and the little blue dots.

Overall, the background goes very well with the picture, but watch out for shading and unfitting foregrounds/minor details.
